MorphologicalMesh Filtering and -objects

چکیده
Since image analysis techniques have come to maturity, mesh analysis has remained challenging requiring more and more efforts for elaborating an effective theoretical model. In this article, following algebraic mesh operators, we introduce algorithms that perform morphological transformations on unorganized point sets connected by their Delaunay triangulations. We show that these algorithms correspond to morphological operators like erosion, dilation or opening, acting as ”shape filters” on meshes. More theoretically, a link is established between these algorithms and the formalisms of edge algebra and α-objects. Then, the mesh operators are defined in terms of complete lattices. These algorithms are applied to the problem among others of scene reconstruction by stereoscopy in which objects are represented by unstructured and noisy clouds of 3D points. Rapid prototyping should also benefit from these algorithms.

Presenting a Morphological Based Approach for Filtering The Point Cloud to Extract the Digital Terrain Model
The Digital terrain model is an important geospatial product used as the basis of many practical projects related to geospatial information. Nowadays, a dense point cloud can be generated using the LiDAR data. Actually, the acquired point cloud of the LiDAR, presents a digital surface model that contains ground and non-ground objects. The purpose of this paper is to present a new approach of ex...
متن کاملGeological noise removal in geophysical magnetic survey to detect unexploded ordnance based on image filtering
This paper describes the application of three straightforward image-based filtering methods to remove the geological noise effect which masks unexploded ordnances (UXOs) magnetic signals in geophysical surveys. Three image filters comprising of mean, median and Wiener are used to enhance the location of probable UXOs when they are embedded in a dominant background geological noise. The study ar...
متن کاملA PRACTICAL APPROACH TO REAL-TIME DYNAMIC BACKGROUND GENERATION BASED ON A TEMPORAL MEDIAN FILTER
In many computer vision applications, segmenting and extraction of moving objects in video sequences is an essential task. Background subtraction, by which each input image is subtracted from the reference image, has often been used for this purpose. In this paper, we offer a novel background-subtraction technique for real-time dynamic background generation using color images that are taken fro...

Ultrasound imaging is one of the common methods in medical diagnostic systems. There are many artifacts in a two dimentional image. Three dimentional imaging can be used for better interpretation and perception of an image. Since 1969 many attemps have been made in this regards, and research continues all over the world. The main goal in...
متن کاملMotion detection by a moving observer using Kalman filter and neural network in soccer robot
In many autonomous mobile applications, robots must be capable of analyzing motion of moving objects in their environment. Duringmovement of robot the quality of images is affected by quakes of camera which cause high errors in image processing outputs. In thispaper, we propose a novel method to effectively overcome this problem using Neural Networks and Kalman Filtering theory. Thistechnique u...
